My client a total solutions main player is looking for a Mobile Site Engineer. The role is very varied and interesting and the company is committed to giving you excellent support and on going training. You will be supporting hardware such as HP Compaq Servers, Desktops, Notebooks, IBM Thinkpads T series notebooks, and other generic PC’s. Peripherals experience of HP laser printers and scanners, PDA’s etc is essential. Helpdesk support, 2nd line and 3rd line software support of Microsoft Windows 2000*XP range of server and desktop products. Support of desktops applications such as Adobe Acrobat, Quark Express etc.. Good networking skills and call management, logistics administration. The engineer will undertake project work from time to time as necessary. You MUST be flexible and travel to locations around the UK including London.
To secure this fantastic role you will ideally have HP Compaq Server certification, Good experience of PC hardware and peripherals including laser printers and notebooks is essential. Experience of Microsoft Software ( Windows 2000*XP, Office 2000*XP, Exchange 5.5 and 2000). Novell Netware 5.1 and Groupwise 5.5 and above experience is an advantage. Minimum qualification at MCP level. This varied position includes visiting various customer sites within UK including London, supporting a wide range of hardware and software products. You will need hardware experience of PC’s, Notebooks, PC peripherals ( laser printers, PDA’s , scanners etc.) and Servers in particular Compaq products. Compaq APS Server qualification is required- current or lapsed. Good network administration skills in Windows 2000* and desktop support of Office 2000*XP, Outlook 2000, Exchange 2000*5.5, Netware 5.1 and Groupwise 5.5 and above are needed. To secure this interesting and challenging role you will need HP*Compaq Server Accreditation. Preferably MCP qualifications in Windows 2000*XP server and professional. Good support knowledge of other Microsoft products such as Office XP*2000, Exchange 2000*5.5, MS Project, MS Visio and other MS software is required. Novell Netware 5.1 and Groupwise 5.5 and above is an advantage.
